greetings from Wilson Elementary in Lynwood we're here for the culmination ceremony of the 5th grade kids it's a great school a big school you can see the procession to kids coming in the done a great job on Brad gluckstein on the chair of the board of the kids and the founder the children and students have come home and talk to their parents about the dances you can see all the parents behind me excited to see their kids we're really excited to be here in Lynnwood supporting all the schools and all the students would Conga kids dies is the teaches kids life skills teaches M collaboration teamwork violence prevention exercise course of teachers and five dances salsa Merengue foxtrot Tango and swing and we're going to see some of that today so vamanos gassed up Midtown the sandras that are teaching artist she's been teaching all your fifth grade children all of their dances to all the credit goes to her big round of husbands house on the face my name is Steven the first dynasty feet is the marinade it is for the first dance we learned involving past it comes from the Dominican Republic is all princess we hope you enjoy the show hello my name's Carson Matthews I teach 5th grade the one big thing I noticed was that but he was very apprehensive at first the boys are girls are very scared to dance very scared to to be partners and slowly week after week it seems like the rear came down awesome is it couldn't wait till Tuesday and Thursdays because it wanted to come see massage Sounder they wanted to practice your dancing what was your favorite dance one partner the whole time or a lot of different with different partners we shine they become a little bit more outspoken I'm pretty proud of them good morning to you too here and we were excited Wilson Elementary being one of the school so we support our kids are parents and I hope you have a great day what is the African dance from the United States of America its Rhythm and flow smoker quits enjoy I'm supposed to her the family she was very excited when she came home talking about the dance she was first hesitant about having a dance with a boy but got over the face and I mean she likes to dance and she's pretty excited now and I mean if the teacher people skills because now I could okay now you know how to dance You Can Dance my name is Raymond Schmidt principal of Wilson Elementary School in Lynwood California we just finished our Concord for kids 5th grade performance back at it to be a tremendous performance and it exceeded All my expectations this was our first year having this program come to the school at the beginning I was very skeptical and how the fifth grader did you receive it after their first class they were talking about it non-stop or was spreading all the other grade levels are are on fire and looking forward to it as well it has been a tremendous success when kids came to Wilson Elementary  scare you have that self-esteem nervous and after it's amazing how just culture outside of their own they begin to understand or things came from the roots of other things they study them sell and it was amazing to see that that self-esteem was built and they weren't afraid to touch a boy anymore before they were like they loved it and now they're going home teaching their parents and that culture has spread and I think it's a wonderful wonderful program
