Principal's Message

MageeHello Wilson Parents, Students, and Community Members,

Welcome to the Start of the 2023-2024 school year. My name is Trionne Magee and I am excited to be the principal of Wilson Elementary School once again. This year marks my 25th year as an educator and my 8th year as an administrator at Wilson. To all of our new Wilson students and staff, welcome to the Wildcat family. To all of our returning Wildcats, we are so happy to have you back.

At Wilson, we are committed to making sure that all students have a positive school experience. The Mission of Woodrow Wilson Elementary School is to prepare every student for success and to become college and career-ready. Wilson Elementary School strives to be a positive, safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that inspires collaborative thinkers. Our stakeholders are influential role models who encourage students to pursue their highest academic and personal aspirations. At Wilson, students develop digital competence, strong social-emotional character, and are prepared for challenges in a global society. Woodrow Wilson Elementary School’s stakeholders are committed to providing an engaging education that promotes academic success.

We strive to create a cohesive home-to-school connection where parents and community members work in partnership with the school to provide the best educational opportunities and experiences for our students. I wholeheartedly believe that student success is increased when parents are involved with the school.

We use various platforms to share information and promote all of the wonderful things that will happen at Wilson throughout the year. Our primary communication tool is Parent Square. All students and parents are automatically enrolled in Parent Square according to the information provided on the emergency contact card. Please be sure to provide the front office with any updates or changes to your contact information as they occur. Please also visit our School Website at https://wilson.mylusd.org/. Here you find a wealth of school and district information such as school policies, parent surveys, and calendars just to name a few. You may also follow us on Facebook and Instagram at @LUSDWilsonES for current events, videos, and photos. You may also call the school office Monday-Friday, 8:00 - 3:30 PM at (310) 603-1525 or email me at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.

It is my pleasure to work with the amazing students, parents, and families that make up the wonderful Wilson community. I am especially pleased to be part of a faculty and staff committed to providing the best possible education for every child in a safe, learning, respectful, and nurturing environment.  Wilson is a PBIS Platinum Award Winning School where all students are supported and valued. Thank You to ALL of our wonderful students and supportive parents.  You are a critical component of making Wilson Elementary a successful school. I look forward to working with each and every one of you on your child’s journey to success because at Wilson, Every Wildcat R.O.A.R.S.!
