Subject: Lynwood USD 5th Annual Arts Festival & District Showcase - Final Reminders
Hello Arts Festival Participants,
I am very excited about our upcoming 5th Annual Arts Festival and District Showcase on Saturday, April 28,
1. Reminders for Everyone:
a. Check-in begins at
b. Equipment drop-off will be at Duncan Ave gate.
c. Parking is available in the structure off of Duncan Ave and MLK Jr Blvd. For those of you arriving after
d. You can find your booth number and map in the attached event program.
e. Extra Duty/ Overtime: Pre-approved LUSD staff are required to sign-in and sign-out at the event site in order to be eligible for up to 6 hours of compensation (extra duty/overtime pay).

2. Showcase Booth Participants:
a. Be sure to pick up your school's enrollment roster clipboard when you check in. All you need to do is check off a student when they arrive at your booth. We will be using this list to get an estimate of event attendance.
b. Return the clipboard to Room #4103 at the end of the day.
3. Art Activity Booth Participants:
a. Do not add/change your approved art activity on event date.
b. You can keep any remaining supplies for your classroom.
4. Food Booth Participants:
a. Bring 2 signs to display in your booth with items for sale, purchase price, and school/program name.
b. Bring your pre-approved food/drink items and appropriate supplies such as coolers, ice, napkins, etc.
c. Do not add or change your approved food/drink on event date.
d. We will be using a ticket system for food sales. Please do not accept cash at your booth. Tickets must be purchased at the ticket booth for $1 each.
e. Turn in all tickets in your group’s envelope to Deborah Berry at the Ticket Sales booth.
5. Performance Participants:
a. Performance times are listed in the attached event program.
b. Student performers and instructors should arrive in the gym at least 30 minutes before their scheduled performance time slot (in half- hour increments).
c. Restrooms and locker rooms will be available for student use.
d. Water and snacks will be available in the gym for each student after their performance.
e. A projector will be available for student films in the auditorium. Please bring a laptop and appropriate adaptor for the projectors.
