Subject: REMINDER: Festival of the Arts & District Showcase Saturday, May 20, 2017 10am-3pm @ LHS
Hello everyone,
The 4th Annual Festival of the Arts & District Showcase is Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10am-3pm at Lynwood High School. Please review the attached documents for important information that was shared at yesterday’s meeting at LHS.
FOR BOOTHS:
1. Staff & Volunteer check-in begins at 8:45am in the LHS Library (name badges, festival shirt, and snacks). LUSD staff will be required to sign-in and sign-out in order to be eligible for compensation (extra duty/overtime pay).
2. Equipment drop off: Enter driveway between gym and parking structure. Please have your parking pass visible.
3. Parking is available in the parking structure and adjacent basketball courts.
4. Booths need to be completely set-up by 9:30am.
5. Event ends at 3:00pm. Please clean up (throw away trash, take down signs, remove all items) by 3:30pm. Don’t forget to head back to the library to sign out!
6. IMPORTANT: If you will be at your school’s district showcase booth, make sure you receive your school’s clipboard with the attendance recovery list when you check-in. You will be responsible for returning this list to your school site. Silvia will stop by to pick up the list from your sites on Monday, May 22, 2017.
FOR PERFORMANCES:
1. Check-in no later than 30 minutes before your scheduled performance time in the LHS Library (name badges, festival shirt, and snacks). LUSD staff will be required to sign-in and sign-out in order to be eligible for compensation (extra duty/overtime pay).
2. Student performers should check in no later than 30 minutes before scheduled performance time in the gym (for outdoor stage) or PAC (for PAC).
3. Water and snacks will be available for each student after their performance.
4. Don’t forget your music - CD player and auxiliary cable will be available.
