Join Us on October 11: Free Groceries, Health Services & Performances at Lynwood United

Lynwood Unified students, families and staff are invited to join Lynwood United, a free community event designed to connect families with essential resources and services while also celebrating Latino Heritage Month, recognized from September 15 to October 15.

Lynwood United will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 11 at Firebaugh High School, where attendees will have access to a variety of support services, including free groceries, diapers, eyeglasses, healthcare enrollment assistance, vaccinations, dental care, mental health support and more (while supplies last).

The event will also feature gift card giveaways, food trucks and performances from the Firebaugh High School Band and Cheer; Lynwood High School Danza Azteca; INCA, The Peruvian Ensemble; and LevelUP Lynwood cheer teams from Roosevelt, Helen Keller and Abbott elementary schools.

Guests will also enjoy booths and displays from Hosler Middle School, Lynwood Community Adult School and St. Anne’s Family Services, showcasing the talent and contributions of our community.

This event is being held in partnership with the California Association of African American Superintendents and Administrators (CAAASA) Cares, which works to address health inequities and provide underserved communities with essential resources. Through this partnership, Lynwood Unified extends CAAASA’s vision of health equity, working together to create a stronger, healthier community.

We encourage all families and staff to join us at Lynwood United and take part in this important event dedicated to supporting the health and success of our community.
